🌳 Shade Is Your Superpower

Shade is any cool, shady spot where the sun cannot reach you. A tree, an umbrella, a big building, or a covered walkway can all make shade.

Think about ice cream on a hot day. Leave it in the sun and it melts fast! Put it under an umbrella and it stays cold much longer. Your body is a little like that ice cream — shade keeps you feeling good.

Hero rule: when you go outside, always look for the shady path first.

💧 Water Is Your Sidekick

When it is hot, your body uses water to stay cool, just like a garden hose sprays water to cool down a hot pavement. That is why Staying Cool Heroes always carry a water bottle and take sips often — even before they feel thirsty.

Drinking water is one of the easiest superpowers of all. No cape needed!

⏰ Time Your Day Like a Champion

The sun is strongest in the middle of the day. Smart heroes play outside in the early morning or later in the evening, when the air feels softer and cooler.

In the middle of the day, that is the perfect time for cool, calm indoor fun — reading, drawing, or a nap.

🏙️ How Cities Build Cool Places

Cities in the Gulf are brilliant at building cool spots for everyone:

• Misting sprays — tiny cool clouds of water that float over walkways at markets and parks
• Covered walkways — long shady tunnels so you can walk from place to place without ever standing in the full sun
• White and light-colored roofs — light colors bounce the sun's heat away, just like a white t-shirt feels cooler than a dark one on a sunny day

Engineers and city planners design these cool places on purpose, so that everyone — grown-ups, kids, and even pets — can enjoy being outside.

🦎 Animals That Beat the Heat

Desert animals are Staying Cool Heroes too!

• The fennec fox has giant ears that let heat escape, like tiny cooling fans
• The camel can go a long time without water and even changes its body temperature through the day to save energy
• Many desert lizards and beetles come out only at dawn or dusk, when the sand is cooler under their feet

Animals have been using shade, timing, and clever bodies to handle heat for millions of years. Now we build smart cities that do the same thing.

🌍 Three Scenarios → 2050

🟢 Best path: Every school, park, and street has shade, water, and cool resting spots, so everyone can play outside safely all year.

🟡 Middle path: Some places have great shade and water, but others still need more — heroes have to plan ahead a little more carefully.

🔴 Slow path: Too few shady, cool spots get built, so people have to stay indoors much more often during the hottest hours.
